World Prematurity Day is celebrated annually around the world on the 17th November. We do our November Boxes (€1 a day for the month of November), we deliver donated knitted goods and where possible gift baskets to our local Neonatal Units.
We approach local primary schools and ask them to do a “Purple Day” or Non-Uniform day to raise funds and our secretary Jacqui, local school, Nora Molloy of Walshestown N.S. have been very kind to the charity.
Also, Fran O’Rourke, a valued member of our charity, children’s National school also participated in 2017.
We would love to see more primary and post primary schools getting involved in this annual tradition.
