Thoughtful Blue Daos LEMC Ireland raised the funds for intensive care units at ten hospitals around the country.
They used the cash to buy a number of breast pumps, bottle warmers, recliner chairs, an IV pump and a cosy cot driver and mattress.
And the bikers revved up their engines in Portmarnock in Dublin on Friday morning and headed to hospitals including Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda, Cavan General Hospital, Sligo General Hospital and Tralee General Hospital.
Bikers Ride Out For Prems volunteer Sean Brennan said: “We visited ten hospitals over three days. We started off in Drogheda at 7 o’clock on Friday morning and arrived in Sligo at 7:20pm.
“We loved every minute of the trip and got to meet some amazing nurses too.”
“We hope to have raised over €190,000 for hospitals all over the country by August. We couldn’t do it without the likes of AXA, Il Panorama and the Riverside Hotel in Sligo who were all very good to us.”
